There is a theme to many of these pictures - namely, that there are cactus species that continue to flower for extended periods. Most people have the impression that they flower once per year for a day or two, and quit. Many species do so, but many keep on going after the first flowers. That is, they flower, then rest, then flower, then rest, etc. Others have continuous flowers over long time periods.
