Notocactus leninghausii     5/23/21
The next day, I was in the greenhouse and noticed the play of sunlight on the same flower cluster, and that the flowers appeared bigger than the day before in the previous picture. Today, as I write these descriptions, its May 27, four days after the picture above. The flower cluster is still there in its yellow glory. The flowers are bigger still, and the usual collapse of flowers has been setting in. I hadn't taken note until now that the flowering of this species lasts five days. (Note added 5/28: The flower cluster is still mostly intact. These flowers have not closed at night, so I get six full days of flowers.)   (51/56)
