Your choice re the genus. In general, I think that there might be no way to establish either name as unambiguous. This is the biggest size contrast between the flower and the plant in a biggish plant. This species actually get taller - over a foot, as I remember - but the striking flower size continues to impress. The pot that you can barely make out is 2.5 " (6 cm) on a side. I'm trying to cross this species with other Echinopsis/Trichocereus hoping to get plants with huge flowers of other colors.    (44/56)
