Melocactus dawsonii MG974.3 5/1/21
I've never seen the seed pods (= fruit) of a Melocactus. Note the tiny flowers starting - the red blips. I'll try to figure out if the species is self fertile by keeping it in the greenhouse this summer, isolated from pollinators, I hope. (14/56)
