Neoporteria villosa     11/1/20
This is usually the first of the Fall/Winter Neoporterias to flower, starting in November. The other Fall/Winter blooming Neoporterias kick in over the next five months. I had a plant of this species some years ago that flowered at every areole almost at once by Thanksgiving, but, I lost it. Incidentally, I want to repeat my observation about cactus nuts - we like the flowers, but the rest of the plant is our real interest, specifically the spines. This species has great spines.   (38/48)
