Lithops karasmontana bella     10/24/20
This is one plant. All Lithops divide after a few years. This plant is in a 2.5" (6 cm) square pot, the edge of which you can see. I'll give it a bigger pot sometime this Winter and I'll eventually see how much space a single Lithops plant can occupy. Of course, I'm cheating. In the Lithops habitat there is no environment that approximates a doting keeper with lots of water and fertilizer. A word to the purists - yes, I know that they grow "hard" in their native environment. But, my coddling them can do nothing that their genetics hasn't already programmed into their little bodies. I'm just allowing the little miracles to really shine.   (36/48)
