Mammillaria lasiacantha SNL99     3/3/17
I’ve finally managed to propagate this species, which came into my collection from a road-rescue project south of Carlsbad NM eleven years ago. I did make a bunch of seeds before the rescued plants died, and I’ve finally succeeded in propagating this collection number. This plant is as big as a cherry. It was flowering today. I don’t know why it’s so touchy as a seedling. Maybe the adult is also hard to keep alive. I’ll find out over time. The plants get past golf ball size. (09/40)
