There are two names applied to these hybrids, probably because they were found independently and named independently. This is how lots of cacti have come to have ten or even twenty or thirty names. Early cactus naming was done when letters were the means of communication, and these letters were carried by horse drawn vehicles. Cactus nuts were out in the field making discoveries, not knowing about the existence of other cactus nuts doing the same.   (23/56)
