Siegfried Lodwig's Plants During the Summer Move of 2020

I thought that you all might be interested in what a large cactus collection looked like. My guess is that I have somewhere between 15,000 and 20,000 plants. I move them all, twice a year. In late spring, I move them from the greenhouse and the two unheated cloches next to the greenhouse to the front yard, with some in the back yard. In September, I move them back inside. A greenhouse in the summer is way too hot for any plant, unless daytime cooling is applied. Takes up too much space and is too expensive to run. I do use the greenhouse in the summer for isolating plants from which I want pure seeds. Unfortunately, seed formation is not helped by having a hot greenhouse, but, it's all I've got. I think that I raised all but maybe 20 or 30 of my plants from seed. All the rest began with me sowing a seed.
