Echinocereus coccineus (probably a Jarrilla Mntns. plant)     5/17/20
Three years ago this was a single stem about 6" (15 cm) tall in a 2.5" (6 cm) pot. It was about 6 years old. When it was given this huge pot for a home, it just went crazy with offsets, and, here it is. The difference in shades of orange is just the effect of the sunlight bleaching the flowers over time. These flowers are open for several days. The older flowers are paler orange.   (47/56)
