Echinocereus X ? "Red Hybrid"     3/21/20
I have no idea how I made this hybrid. I did some random crossings of any and all of my flowering plants about 17 years ago when I first came to live in Los Alamos permanently. If anyone out there in cactus land (I do plead for you foreigners for help!!) please tell me if I've somehow overlooked a known species. Doesn't matter. A gorgeous red-flowered plant. I'm trying to see if seeds from this plant are reliable for eventually producing the red flower. If I don't pollinate the flower, it lasts for about 6 days. The pot is 2.5" (6 cm) on a side.   (06/48)
