Astrophytum ornatum 5/5/19
One of the more amazing stories in cactus land. This species will flower at orange-size, about three years old. It grows to more than 6 feet - I've seen them in Phoenix, Arizona - and some books say they get to nine feet tall. However, they are not so pretty when taller and older. Maybe their keepers are not good at their keeping in their tallness. In any case, the pot is 8" (20 cm) in diameter. (40/56)
