Copiapoa esmeraldana 10/16/18
I think that I've seen a flower on this plant every month of the year. Woody Minnich informed me that Copiapoas are opportunistic bloomers in habitat (Atacama Desert; Northern Chile.) Right now, in my 38 F (3 C)-at-night greenhouse, two flowers are present on this plant. I think that this plant pushes out around 36 flowers per year. It's about the size of my fist. (02/24)
