Echinofossulocactus (probably lamellosus hastatus)     2/5/17
I have 44 trays of cacti on upper shelving of my greenhouse. These trays therefore are in the warmest part of the greenhouse and break dormancy sooner than those in the main part of the greenhouse. I decided to water the upper trays a couple of weeks ago and found this plant already flowering. The plant body is the size of a plump cherry. It will eventually get bigger than a man’s fist, but the flowers stay the same size as you see. There will be many of them on the bigger plant, however.   (16/24)
