Echinocereus chisoensis MG185.3     4/14/2015
This is my only surviving plant of the species. I raised it from seed, so it’s accepting of my cultural conditions. This means it survived my many mistakes. I’ve had more than a dozen of them and I’ve lost them all. They seem to be rot prone. I’ve got about a dozen tiny seedlings now coming along, the survivors of a much bigger population of seedlings that rotted away. The species is only found around the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend National Park in West Texas. (11/32)
