This plant won the "Special Cactus" rosette award at this past April show. I can't tell you why because I was unaware that there was such a thing until this show, and I forgot to ask. My guess is that just being able to grow this species on its own roots to this size is special. The below-ground plant is a number of tubers, like a dahlia. This flower lasted for four days. The pot is 2.5 in (>6 cm) on a side.   (24/56)
