Echinocereus reichenbachii     9/2/18
I think that if you have enough E. reichenbachii individuals, you can get an attenuated flower show in late August, after the main show in May. The species is winter-hardy in most US climates. Growing them in a raised bed of mostly gravel (not sand!!) would help with survivability. Pumice, if you can get it, would be ideal. Los Alamos sits on the side of a dormant volcano, so pumice is readily available here.   (18/32)
