Notocactus ottonis (red plant) X Hamatocactus setispinus 7/27/18
I'm studying the effect of Hamatocactus setispinus pollen on the appearance of the putative hybrids resulting from its use on other cactus species. So far, I can see nothing of the H. setispinus in the appearance of the resulting plants. This looks like a true N. ottonis to me. (Technically, it's the N. ottonis phenotype; genotype is unknown.) The pot is 2" (5 cm) on a side. (01/32)
