And more. There are still a few flowers forming among the 18 members of my herd as I write. This means that I've had flowers from this species for five months. David Ferguson has commented after the first set that even though this genus is from the high Andes, the cold that sometimes comes to Albuquerque will kill it. I guess we're mostly stuck with our native cold hardies. I must say that whenever I've tried a South American species outside over the winter, it's been failure.   (10/72)
