Echinofossulocactus sulphureus     11/27/17
I've not kept track over the last 47 years of how many cactus seeds I've sown. If it were to be estimated between two and three million, I wouldn't argue with the number. In all those seeds, this is the first noticed cristate form. Since it's pretty big now, it may live. (The cell it's in is 1" (2.5 cm) on a side.) Of course, there might have been lots of others, but they died before I noticed them. Yeah, I know, here I just was encouraging you to do seeds, how easy it is, etc., and now I'm telling you about an awful lot of dead plants. Oh, well. Just think of how proud you'll be of yourself when you finally do grow that first bunch to flowering from seeds. It becomes a secret lifelong utterly harmless addiction.    (32/32)
