Warm cloche     10/11/16
This is how very many of my plants spend the winter, jammed into a space between my greenhouse and my garage. A clear plastic cover complete the assembly. The cacti survive without a heater in this space. The cloche on the other side of the greenhouse gets much colder. Probably 90 % of cactus species could survive in this “warm” cloche. The outside night temperature in the winter at my house is often close to 0 F (-18 C). It’s been -10F (-24C) at least once every year for the past 13 years.   (03/32)
