Echinocereus reichenbachii caespitosus MG247    8/5/2014
This is the third year that my four plants of this catalog number bloomed in August (after blooming in April/May). I’ve had several catalog numbers of E. reichenbachii flower after the main flowering time, but none consistently, except this one. I’m going to make more plants from the seed I made. I want to plant some outside and see if the two blooming periods repeats. The species lives in Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas. It should be winter-hardy anywhere the temperature does not drop much below 0 F (-18 C).   (01/33)
